Die Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme ordnet sich von der Leistung her hinter der deutlich teureren 2080-Ti-Version und den besten GTX-1080-Ti-Karten auf Platz drei ein. Wer eine kompakte High-End-Grafikkarte sucht, kommt um die ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2070 Mini OC Edition fast nicht herum. Mit einem Preis von rund 590 Euro ist sie günstiger als die GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini und nur etwas teurer als die GeForce GTX 1080 Mini für etwa 530 Euro, die beides Auslaufmodelle sind und daher schon bald vom Markt verschwinden werden. Hier hat es in den letzten Tagen und Wochen bereits deutliche Preissteigerungen gegeben. Gegenüber einer GeForce GTX 1080 bietet die neue Mini jedoch ein Leistungsplus von etwa 10 bis 15 %, ist in der Regel jedoch minimal langsamer als die größeren Modelle mit leistungsfähigem Triple-Slot- oder Triple-Fan-Kühler. Im Overclocking-Test schlägt sie sich jedoch wie nahezu jedes andere Modell und erreicht ähnlich hohe Taktraten.

Zotac's GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme almost looks like a technology demonstrator for what you can do if you want to build the most powerful RTX 2080 card. The company has revamped the PCB design and given the VRM circuitry some extra love.

While that’s a bit of a subjective opinion, it does make the Amp Extreme a bit of a ‘sleeper’ in comparison to many cards on the market that are all bark and no bite.

Those with smaller systems will probably appreciate the narrow card pending they can accommodate the 308mm length. The cooler itself works quite well and keeps the card chilly even when overclocked, and doesn’t have to try too hard so the fans never ramp up much to make noise.

The ZOTAC Geforce RTX 2080 AMP Edition is highly charged under load and can compete with many partner cards and the reference, but the it is bit too high under load.

Looking at the OC results, the Zotac card delivered the highest GPU overclock we reached so far with 2145 MHz, which is a good deal higher than the other 2080 Tis we tested before.

As the factory overclocking is modest, the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 Ti AMP is only a bit faster than an RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition - but is still one of the fastest gaming graphics cards on the market today.
